Gas springs (lockable and non-lockable) are used in wheelchairs and serve the variable height and tilt adjustment of backrests and seat areas. The height adjustment of the seat area makes it easier to get in and out of the wheelchair. By using dampers, the wheelchair is damped while driving, thus increasing comfort.
